Hey there, I’m Agalia.

I’m currently a senior creative strategist at We Are Social Singapore, where I craft propositions and ways to propagate editorial social content for global brands like Samsung and HBO.

Simultaneously, I am part of .XYZ, our future strategy and innovation arm. Here, I help crystallise the agency’s perspective on socially driven internet futures, and guide forward-looking brands like adidas, Nike, and NBA in future-proofing their business.

Within the future tech space, I am most fascinated by the new behaviours and modes of collaboration that these new technologies are empowering. This fascination has culminated into an experimental venture, vector, that I conceptualised and am now leading under .XYZ, where we bring together diverse global thinkers and tinkerers to create work that moves the needle on creativity.

Outside of work, I am deeply curious and tapped into conversations around community building, cultivating a better relationship with time, and how we can rediscover our personal taste.

Across my fascinations, you may have already sensed this undercurrent of desire for reinvention – perhaps a consequence of growing up in a small city that prizes conformity and adherence to convention.

As well as some key industry events and conferences:

I also do some other stuff.

Deep dive into my different lives here.

  • To combat clockwork creativity, I conceptualised and led the creation of vector, Singapore's first release club that is home to multi-disciplinary cultural tastemakers who are operating at the fringes of culture and keen to move the needle on creativity.

  • I host monthly dinner clubs ('half past') where I bring together 12 strangers for good food and deep conversations. Each dinner comes with a central question of discussion e.g. 'what's one thing you're dying to talk about?'

  • Writing well is thinking well. I try to publish bimonthly on my substack.

Besides that, I've written in zines such as Take Up Space and Atemporal.

  • My 10-year training in classical and acoustic guitar plus involvement in choir and acapella led me to pursue singing-songwriting as a hobby and means of expression. You can find my documented feelings here.
